Mount Kenya University Machakos Regional ODEL Library is located within the center which is housed in Muvango building above Family Bank and next to Naivas Supermarket. We have been operating well giving outstanding services to patrons since inception in April 2023. The library adheres to the requirements set forth by the Commission for University Education (CUE) for the creation of an academic library. The University Library, which is situated on the main campus in Thika, shares the same vision, mission and objectives as the Campuses and ODEL libraries.

Digital Library
- The Digital Library is operational 24/7
Books Allowed for Borrowing
Undergraduate : Maximum of 4 books for 14 days
Postgraduate : Maximum of 4 books for 30 days

Library Collection
The library’s collection is based on the university’s course offerings, and it is regularly updated. The total stock is 1,472 print volumes and thousands of e-journals and eBooks. Resources for information are diverse, current, and pertinent. Mount Kenya University Machakos Regional ODEL library provides varied, authoritative and up-to-date information resources including past papers in support of most academic programs offered by Mount Kenya University.

Library Space
The library has a seating capacity of 75 comprising of the reading area, e-learning and periodical section. It is enabled with a Wi-Fi and fitted with electrical accessories for use. Its surroundings provide a favorable environment for learning and studying. The information hub is simple to use, and the stack area makes all titles accessible. The library is well ventilated with all sections well defined and labeled.
