Eldoret Campus Library

The library is located at the fourth floor of MKU plaza Eldoret along Ronald Ngala Street in Eldoret town. Its setting has an ambiance that is conducive for learning and study. Access to information is easy and all titles are easily retrievable. The library is well ventilated with all sections are well defined and labeled. The sitting capacity of the library is 150 users with a service capacity of 300 per day.

Monday to Friday: 8.00 AM – 7.00 PM

Saturday: 9.00 AM – 1.00 PM

Digital Library

The Digital Library is operational 24/7

Books Allowed for Borrowing

Undergraduate: Maximum of 4 books for 14 days

Postgraduate: Maximum of 4 books for 30 days

Staff: Maximum of 4 books for 30 days NOTE: All books are renewable once online via https://opac.mku.ac.ke

Organization and Access to Information Resources

Library information resources are organized using the Library of Congress Classification Scheme (LCCS) using the latest version of Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR2). The library’s Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is web-based, thus enabling access by all via the University website.

ICT Infrastructure

The library is automated using the KOHA library management system. The system has both library user and staff interfaces integrated for efficient and effective services and operations.
